So I got an estimate, $13K to repair the damage. You have got to be kidding me.
Ron decided he wanted to play a pornographic talking book - very explicit narration - at maximum volume while the plumbers were working. I asked him to turn it off, twice, and he didn't, so I took the cartridge out of his machine. And kept it.
He said it "wasn't necessary". I think it is.
He is now playing a profane and rude comedian he recorded off TV. No one is laughing except Ron.
I don't see why he won't be mature in this, but it's like he wants to be the bad boy and have me scolding him and getting angry. That gives him some sort of payoff he cannot get any other way.
He was talking to a friend of his this morning, wanted an old girlfriend's number. I told the guy I don't care if they talk I am not worried about Ron running off with her. If he is dumb enough to leave she can have him (I didn't say that).
Then the guy wants to interrogate me about Ron's back and why am I letting him be in pain, etc. I told him Ron is under medical care and has only been given a low dose pain pill, even asking for something stronger.
"What is wrong with his back?" How is that your [censored] business anyway? You just want something to gossip about (he is a big gossip). I told him many things were wrong with his back, basically NOTHING is working correctly, and left it at that.
"Can't he have surgery?" He did that and it did not help, not to mention surgery could make things a lot worse.
This isn't something you are going to "fix", think of something I have not living with him.
Ugh.
Then Ron made a comment about pimping me out to the plumber, which I did NOT find amusing at all. In front of the plumber.
It's like he's trying to be a jackass.

He needs to be kicked to the curb
He is in soooooo much pain that he needs to be loaded up with every chemical in the house, but he is lucid enough to be this intentionally disruptive and disrespectful?
It's all manipulative behavior. He is abusing you. He will continue to increase his disruption and disrespect. He will use any responses against you. Please call and get help for yourself.
Does the 13k include the repipe? Did you ask insurance if they would cover repipe or a portion of it? Ron is a real comedian with playing porno in front of the plumbers. He really has no idea how deranged he is making himself look. And a higher dose of pain pills would not help him. He refuses to use the magbets, go to a pain management clinic,etc So of course doc is not going to up his dose.
13 does not cover the repipe. Apparently doing my floors is worth a couple thousand right there.
I will ASK insurance but not hopeful they are going to pay for new pipes. I also need to see how much they are funding on repairs and how that happens.
Record him next time. You need to be building up proof of his erratic behavior.

He didn’t do rehab and kept drinking or it honestly might have.
Proof of his behavior needs to be collected by professionals who understand the diagnoses involved.
Recording him is a double edged sword. Everything you say and do on the video, and even the act of taking the video, can be misconstrued. Ron will always trot out his poor blind cripple routine. He will blame you for his behavior, and he will justify everything on video by blaming you for provoking him.
Please call the number you used previously for help. Ask for help for yourself. Protect yourself.
