I did some research on the first phone number... it is for psych emergencies, basically, so not Ron, yet.
I looked up senior services and they have a few things, help with dental, help with caregivers... that may prove useful.
I had two very bad experiences with one agency here. I actually worked there for a few weeks, it was poorly run and managed and the director a tyrant. Years later, I called for a referral to a caregiver group, I mean, Houston is huge and surely they have one, right? I mentioned in passing I was bipolar and she couldn't let that go, kept trying to send me to a bipolar group. I said I do not want that, several times, she still didn't get it. I finally demanded "Do you have a caregiver group or not?!" and she said no, which I know is BS because Houston is a city of millions. So, useless, they gossip as well, information was not kept confidential, etc.
Ron is comfortable in bed with Biscuit. I made our trips for tomorrow with his blessing.
And I just saw Cleo, which is always nice. She's a good little girl.

Contact services for the blind and physically disabled. Maybe a contact number for someone that helps with traumatic brain injuries. He should be having someone come a few days a week to help with basic care like bathing, etc. Talking to a therapist for his depression and yes probably the first step is rehab to get off the vodka.
Ron told you this morning on video that his depression has never been this bad. Sounds like a psych crisis to me.
You can just call 211 in Houston and ask for assistance finding help. No research required. Just call 211.
You need help with immediate personal care, psych care and medical care for your husband who has traumatic brain injury, stroke history, major blunt physical trauma history, blindness, alcoholism and signs of mental deterioration. You need help to come to your home as soon as possible because he does not let you provide care, is drinking at dangerous rates, and he has said his depression has never been this bad.
Just call and read that to them.

I don't understand why heather can't just run the business and he can continue doing what he has been doing. Only thing i can think is he is so depressed and in so much pain even going into work 2 or 3 days a week is too much for him. But what is the alternative for him? To just lay in bed 24/7 and wait to die?
