INsurance paid everything

I have $11K to make repairs, should be plenty.

See, I told you it would work.

That money can go very, very quickly. Labor is the most expensive part of it all. Be wise with your money and how much you pay for everything.

That's good news. Hope you have fun remodeling

Anything left from repairs should go to pay back your dad as well. You should have plenty to do that.

That's great! It may seem like a lot of money, but it sure goes fast. Please be very careful how you spend it.

I will pretty much have just enough to cover repairs. I will be careful.

Yes if you are smart about it you should have a nice amount to reimburse your dad. I can't see drywall costing even half and plumbing has already been taken care of . But if you are manic you may waste money

If you get quotes over 3000 for all the drywall and priming they are ripping you off. Also home depot installers are a lot more money to use.

Drywall was quoted about 3K, the problem is the texture. All the walls have texture and they will either have to respray the entire wall or try to match... going to be a PITA.

Remember I have to do paint and flooring as well, 4 new doors, ceiling repairs, etc.

Ceiling repairs are included in your drywall estimate. That is also drywall. Texture should not be a problem to match as there are only a few types of textures out there. If they are saying that will cost more I call B.S. on that. If you paint yourself you could save a lot of money but looking at the paint job you did in your bedroom I have no hope that you can do it (you did no cutting in where the ceiling meets the wall. A trick with that is to take a utility knife and lightly score where the wall and ceiling meet and then no over paint on ceiling or wall.). Plus using an angled brush.

Dad would be happy with the $250 a month and can wait on it. He did not give me grocery money.

I did call to tell him today because I know he has been worried, he was delighted to hear it but rather freaked out at hearing drunken Ron celebrating in the background.

Don't give ron any of that money.

He won't, it's for REPAIRS. He has a business and a disability check to raid.
