Ron is calling everyone in his phone book telling them it is his birthday, because no one except my family called him. This year seems to be a big one for him.
The problem for Ron is that he alienated so many people with his drinking over the years only one person took his call. The rest sent him to voicemail.

If he were going to a community center he could make friends now and secure himself in the community just shove him in one and run ! The other old guys who are narcissistic and in wheel chairs driving their spouses nuts could be there too and set his ass straight . He needs day care and no choice about it
If he is at least 65 he should be also collecting social security benefits while working. Of course he will probably just waste the money and not save any of it but nonetheless he should be getting that income also.
He gets a small gov't check in addition to our earnings.
They have a day program near the house but he mainly wants to sleep all day.
Too many details out there about him already, I don't want to add real age to that = ID theft. Not that we have anything to steal but...
A disability check is not social security. He can get the disability plus the social security and still work.
