And Ron is very drunk, babbling, in bed... naked. The AA types would say I need to "detach".
So, if Ron wants to be a disgusting, embarrassing, drunk that is on him. It is very humiliating for me.
But he does have an hour to sober up so maybe he will surprise me. Maybe I should try and get some caffeine in him.
I saw Cleo at the back door earlier, independent of when I saw her taking out the trash. She has gotten fat!

You deserve to not be humiliated. This whole construction thing needs to be taken seriously by Ron. Put your foot down for once and make him get dressed give him an ultimatum - get dressed or you’re calling the nursing home to come and pick him up. Or you’re wheeling him out to the back yard until the plumbers are gone. Etc
I just had an idea what about adult day care? Lol I saw a sign for it out here. Maybe Ron could get it for free somehow and you could “get away” from him for a while

Why would you let him drink when you know the plumbers are coming. Seriously. This is beyond humiliating. Ron was never a strong leader. A strong manipulator yes but a leader no. A leader does not do the things he did like: cheat, abuse, drink, get high, etc. So no he never was a leader. Just a controller and you were the controlled.
I am so sorry Heather this is terrible and not humane to you. I wonder if you told him what happened when he sobers up would he agree to go to the hotel then ? He can drink himself into a stupor and Not be in the way of everything . This is so sad I am sorry I hope the day improves . I am a nag about the hotel I know but there are so many reasons you should go . 1 THIS and 2 the work is in your face with no relief and that keeps you on alert it is not good for you not to have a break from work in general now you have no running water. You are doing the best you can it is truly ok for you get a room clean up and sleep for a while outside the remodel that is for sure
why should you have to be put out because Ron doesn't want to go to a hotel?
He is very selfish and you have to suffer with greasy hair while he sits naked in bed with meals brought to him. He's selfish.
you want respect from Ron? Stand up for yourself, establish healthy boundaries.
