Video today - I don't talk at all because the fans are so loud.

The guys finished for the day, I will let the video explain what they did today.

I went to Walmart, got an air bed and such.  Came home to this...

I did see Cleo before I went in but she ran off when I opened the door.

Notice that butt-ugly linoleum under what used to be the sink?  That was awful.

How much longer do the fans have to be on? How can a leaky water heater cause so much damage in the entire house? And why does your toilet look so messed up? The cats must be really stressed out. I know they hate change like this. I doubt you will ever be able to get Cleo back inside the house the longer she stays outside.

Fans will be on for days.

It was not the water heater but a supply line from it, to the bathroom.

I didn't clean the toilet that is all, it is OK except for not flushing very well but that is ongoing.

Cleo wants to come in but not to this.

That toilet looks black and like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks

How many more days? What's the timeline to have everything completed?

Demo and water restoration done by Tuesday, most likely. Then repipe and then restoration.

Come clean my toilet if it offends you so much.

That pipe must have been leaking a long time. All that damage couldn't have happened just from the recent pipe burst. I agree that toilet is disgusting, I understand you don't like to clean but come on! You will have a new start in a clean house please put in the effort and take care of it. There is no excuse to live like that!

It is wrong how Cleo went from being inside to being outside. How long is this going to go on for? I remember when you posted pics of her laying in your bed and now she is outside. Just wrong on so many levels.

This has not been fair to the cats, I agree with that. But when I see them they are doing well and this is a rare, short term event.

I have not put Cleo back out permanently, she was literally given the choice between house and out and she went out. I plan to have Jack get me a plastic dog house I can put out back for her, for now. The other cats jailbroke the cat cage so I have 4 out at present. But all are chipped, vaccinated, and street smart so not too worried.

I am far more worried about Biscuit, stress can get him blocked. But he is on a restricted diet again at the vet and it is calmer there. He will not get the opportunity to eat bad foods. There is a very nice lady down the main street in my subdivision who feeds cats and I was quite worried Biscuit would go to her, get the wrong stuff, and get sick. No worries on that now and $17 a day seemed a good price to pay for that.

The wall studs are appreciably drier today so I am very hopeful.

I will clean the toilet today but odds are very high we will just replace the toilet during all this. I will tell you about the toilet, I have not until this point. It is so bad at flushing I must use a couple gallons to flush solids, every time I have them. It will not even flush toilet paper. It is a horrible toilet and I hate it. I literally get up from the toilet and fill the bucket, add a little bleach and pour it down, glug glug and then top it back to appropriate level. The fun part Ron cannot do this so I have to "flush" for him.

I think God is using this event to make some much needed changes in my life.

”I think God is using this event to make some much needed changes in my life.”. Absolutely! I’m glad you see this too.

I hope your cats don’t escape the cage, though.

You actually just wrote that Cleo was given the choice between home and out and she chose out. No. You left her in a terrifying situation where her only option was to run.

You didn't take the few minutes to use treats to put them all in the garage before the workers arrived a few days ago.

You elected to put three more cats in the catio yesterday knowing they would get out. You could have put them in Ron's room with Baby Girl. You could have boarded them with Biscuit.

You don't want to pay to board them. (And no, I don't want to pay to board them or come to your house to round them up. They are your responsibility. You owe them better than this.) So four of your cats are out in the neighborhood because you couldn't be bothered to protect them.

Is Ron aware that four cats are now outside?

There is NO reason for all the cats to be loose and running the streets. You could have put something in front of the hole in the catio before letting them have access. I can't imagine torbie running the streets. When this is over the only cat you will have left is Biscuit. I have never heard of anyone having so many issues with a toilet. Especially when it was replaced and new. Unless you bought the cheapest one or the company you used to install it was just a bunch of idiots like the one who came out first for the leak. I recall you saying ron had issues with the toilet but you said it flushed fine and now you post about how you have been living. It doesn't make sense.

I had something blocking the hole.

RE: the toilet, don't buy an American Standard. It worked OK at first but then fizzled out. Ron had the (bad) plumbers out several times about the flush issue and they all scratched their heads.

The company who installed it is the same company that told us it was a roof leak.

Ron knows they are outside.

He has a very small room as I have said repeatedly so only really room for one cat and BG is his favorite.

She will of course have to be boarded for various repairs but OK for cleanup mode.
