I want to make it really clear, I am not asking for anything - just a list of things I want to buy, and ought to be able to get some of them, if we have a good month here.
Top item:
Microchip feeder Not cheap but it will keep Biscuit out of the wrong food. AND the cats are all chipped already so they won't have to wear a collar like they do with the other feeders. So I'm liking this a lot and told Ron I want this for Christmas.
Computer table Really good reviews, cherry finish (which I really like), no assembly! Will fit in my space! I like it... but I can wait.
Chair... honestly I need to go somewhere and actually TRY chairs before I put one up. I just want something wood or rattan with fixed legs that do not move because Spotty likes to lie under rockers. Something Mama Cat will like because she loves to sleep in my chair. Cat proof (cushions on a wood frame)
Computer - reconditioned from our tech. A PC. I prefer desktops actually. I am sure he has a good one. This is at least a couple years old and the sound card died. This is at the bottom of the list as, clearly, the one I have is OK. Just terrible sound using that little speaker in the motherboard.
I have had good luck with a "stuff it yourself" catnip toy. I got loose herb for the cats and then I can pinch a little on the floor or in a toy... I like the flexibility. Torbie and Biscuit both played with it today. Do I need more? No. Would I buy them? Likely.
I am fine for clothes and appliances - I guess this is where I put a vacuum. So I will put that: A vacuum. One that can handle litter, long hair, and pet hair.
I read a horrible story of a woman who had an elderly dog. It had an attack of the runs on the tile floor. The robot vac picked it up and spread it literally all over her entire first floor. How revolting.
I will confess sometimes one or another cat will have a miss at the litter box and poop right next to it. No big deal, I have sterilizing things and Nature's Miracle. But that sure eliminates a robot vac!
Stuff I am saving up for, not directly for me:
Spotty's neuter. I am about a third there, saving. But it is cheaper for me to take him around the corner than it would be to take him to the nearest low cost clinic (20 miles away)
Cat cage improvements: haven't saved anything on that yet. I would like to get it done by spring. I plan to save $400-$500 before I call the guys. I may also call our handyman back and see what he can do for $100. I hate to see them wistfully looking out the window. But I will get it.
#14... yes, a tooth... mine. Ron's mouth is an utter mess and he may end up in dentures by the end of next year at this rate. I also need to renew the discount plan.
That's it for now.
Ron has fun expenses like water, gas, electricity, mortgage, taxes, homeowner's dues, sales tax next month, etc. So I try not to ask.

Omg the robot vacuum story made me spit coffee. Yes I laughed would I if it happened to me ?
I had actually thought “i wonder how those would work if they hit a spill?
Now you know! Poop spreader!
No thank you! I have enough cleaning in my life as it is.
That is the same reason I don't let Ron help with the litter box. TMI warning.
Some of the cats have mushy poop that cannot really be handled. Ron was thinking he could put a gloved hand in there and use his hand as a rake. Not really.
Here's the link to the story. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2016/08/15/pooptastrophe-man-details-night-his-roomba-ran-over-dog-poop/88667704/
