Must have had one of his drunken blackouts. I find it interesting that he is NOT freaking out and upset about Baby Girl being outside and missing. Must be passed out and has no idea yet. What if she never comes back?
It has been 3 days since you have seen Mama Cat, Spotty and Cleo. More than likely they are not coming back. Very, very, very sad. If you were worried about them you would have done more to make sure they stayed in the house. They could have gotten in a fight with another stray, or worse. The fact that you stay inside and have not tried to find them speaks volumes. What did you expect would happen to them?
He asked me to open the window and look for the other cats. I did. Baby Girl came over. I told him she tried to get out. "let her go" he said smiling.
I thought it was a terrible idea but she got out while I was discussing it. Ron was totally fine with this.
She is a shaved cat in the winter. That is not fair to her at all.
I saw Mama Cat's butt on Friday when she got through a hole in the fence as I walked up to the window. I haven't seen Cleo or Spotty for a few days.
I have to think they are holed up some blocks over in a vacant back yard.
I have tried to find them and have searched the neighborhood, shaking treats, which they all love, but right now I am associated with the house and that is not a good correlation for them.
Torbie has been in and out and demanding a fair amount of attention, which of course I am giving her.
You opened the window and didn't close it when he said let her out. She "got out" while you were "discussing it." What?!?! Why didn't you close the window?
This is so sad. Yesterday you were insistent that your cats get to choose, so I guess Baby Girl chose this. I have had only rescue animals all my life and I can't imagine my pets running around outdoors.
I was wondering the same thing as the Anonymous questioning about opening window. Why did you open his window in the first place and you're blaming Ron for letting Baby Girl out when you caused the opportunity to present itself? You have gone outside before to look for other cats & didn't really need to open a window... I honestly feel what has been happening lately is a blessing for you because of your migraines. It forced you to clear out a lot of things from your place and replacing carpets / drywalls. Hopefully Monday will go without any complications. -star_tigress
Big glare on the window from the lamp prevented me from seeing out. So I opened the window. I honestly thought she would be right back but I guess not.
We work this morning but then meet with the adjuster and trades.
Why don't you have screens on your windows? I think you are lying about the glare. I still don't see how a 2 day leak could cause so much damage and require 7 days of continuous running of fans.
The house came with 10 windows. Of them all about half have screens. We just bought it that way.
The leak may have been going longer than 2 days for all I know. It was in the hall on the 21st but going for how long before that? If it was a slow trickle I wouldn't have known.
It does get me thinking about buying one of those water alarms you can add onto a home security system. It might be worth doing.

Did baby girl come back after Ron let her out the window?
Not yet but it's only been hours...so not worried like I am for Mama and company.
I will go look again. No.
And yes, Ron is an idiot for letting her out.
I’m surprised he could get the window open lol
When was the last time you saw mama and co? Hope they all turn up soon

It is not just fans but 3 huge dehumidifiers.
What if mama and co don’t return? Or will you let them “choose” to return?
I am sure they'll be back.
They took all the equipment this morning so it is finally quiet.
