I forgot to mention I didn't bring my candy. I was out of it today and did not bring the candy with booklets.
I felt very naked without it. When I run out of candy at the grocery store I will buy the checker a candy bar and then give it to them.
Today's checker freaked out when I did that and kept saying it was "illegal". I told him I've done it many times in the past and he was welcome to call his supervisor and ask if it was OK. After I said that he took it.
But I thought that was interesting. The bus driver who brought me home was thrilled to get a fistful of granola bars. 😂
