Well, I found Ron's room color

I'm like a parrot, I like bright colors.

I love turquoise and have it in the front room, along with (soon to be) orange.

How much has ron saved so far toward replacing the carpet in his room and for the paint and curtains he will never see?

There is a literal pandemic and you are still trying to find ways to spend money. Now is the time to hoard your money or buy essentials where needed. Not fing paint for a blind mans bedroom or ugly curtains.

I'm not buying anything, I am bookmarking it. I have had a lot of trouble figuring out what I am doing in his room and am very happy I finally did. It is going to be months as i figure I am probably looking at $3K to fix up his room, drywall repairs, paint, hang curtains, floor. And buying materials. Of course I don't have that on hand but I can save.

Happily what looked to be a problem with the roof, isn't, we had a horrific rain the other day and no leaks.

Why the he'll do you have to save the money for it why aren't you making him save and pay for it. That will mean you are paying 12,000 to fix a house you claim you will lose if Ron goes into a nursing home or you divorce him and r9n makes double what you make. I don't get it.

I'm not saving the money, he will, after we build up our emergency fund, sales tax, and enough to cover insurance in June... A little extra every time we take money out of the machines (after that) will accumulate and maybe next year we can do this. It will keep.

First thing I will buy the flooring in case they discontinue it, I want the same in all 3 rooms. I only need 6 cases for him so that would be first purchase. I would buy the paint and curtains last, but Ron's room is small enough I only think we need the one gallon.

This gives me something to do while cooped up.

You are going to leave the drywall open for an entire year? What the hell. That needs to be fixed ASAP.

You're going to pay for it?

Because I have obligations, like taxes, eating, utilities, etc. It isn't hurting anything.

and yet you and ron keep wasting money on home decor and vodka. give me a break.

Everyone has obligations. Try to limit your use of uber, hemp products, soda, and junk food. Stop buying alcohol and mauve shirts.

Use the savings to close up the drywall. Cats are curious and can break or damage stuff in and under walls. You have five curious cats. And one part-time possum.
