I think I'm going to take a break from Facebook for a while

I got my chores done, including laundry.  Happy to say that is pretty much done.

I got on Facebook a few times and the whining is just driving me nuts.  "I don't have anything to eat" "Those hoarders took all the food".

They mean preppers.  They assume that a prepper must have "taken everything" in the last couple days because they have "all that stuff" and "no one else does".

Wrong.  A poll today on my prepper friends indicates most of them bought their supplies well over a year ago.  You bought that cute purse and shoes, they bought a case of freeze dried.  They probably picked up some fresh donuts while you were scrambling over the last can of Spaghettios.

Here is another fact: the store does not have enough to fill everyone's pantry.  They have enough to "top it off" now and again because that is the way most people shop.  People in Alaska, for instance, do not, they get one big shipment that lasts the whole winter.

This pandemic was a pretty slow mover, I did not really get going until this month and I still got out OK.  It's a good thing we like rice and lentils because that's what we're looking at long term, but we ought to be OK until Walmart starts doing deliveries again.

Everyone was in denial (including me, for a while) while the stores had an abundance of supplies.  They had weeks to buy and chose not to do it.  I had plenty (pretty much) to choose from even a few weeks ago.  I was able to buy things Ron may need.

Even yesterday they had plenty of cat food because people are assholes and no one is thinking "I'm going to need to feed the cat(s)"

One woman was posting allegories featuring a poverty stricken woman who could no longer afford baby formula.  It doesn't work that way, I said, even middle class women get free formula from the government.  Someone else chimed in that the program only allows so many cans a month and any more than the ration means they have to pay out of pocket.

Make sure you can afford a baby if you are having unprotected sex!  It is very simple, SO many ways to prevent pregnancy these days.  If you don't want to buy formula breast feed.  A woman at work used to pump on her breaks because the baby was far healthier.  It wasn't always convenient but she was committed, and if a night-shift mail handler can do it anyone can.

But, in my opinion, everyone wants the government to take care of their kid and that displeases me.  So I am done I feel like I am being attacked for having a brain in my head, seeing this in advance, and getting a few supplies.

Here is a for instance.  Say Ron wore disposable underwear.  Wouldn't I be an idiot to neglect that?  But I'm sure plenty did and that's going to be awful.  As it is I made sure he had enough Kratom and me enough hemp, I got my medication refill early... just common sense.

I can really see this rolling into a tide of socialism which is just the opposite of what we need.  It makes me want to go buy a 50 pound pail of rice, let me tell you.

Anyway, done on that.  A lot of my neighbors are home but I am staying inside because I don't know if they're sick and they may ask if I have food "I can spare".  No, I cannot spare food for my neighbors.  I can spare a little for my aunt but that's it.

Jesus told a parable about 10 girls who were going to meet the bridegroom.  Some of them brought extra oil for their lamps, some did not.  The ones who weren't ready were on the verge of running out and demanded the other girls share theirs.  The girls who had prepped said "We will all run out before he comes, if we share, go buy it".  They went to buy and were shut out as a result.

So clearly Jesus is down with prepping.  I don't feel at all bad I think of this sh*t before it happens because that's just my illness and the life I have led.  The last couple months are a really good example, tooth breaks in October, root canal November, house floods December, repairs Feb-March, repairs finally done and a pandemic.  Why would I not have a couple extra tv dinners?

I had a nap, don't know if I mentioned it, a pretty good one but a mild headache I will treat in a minute.  Dominos is still delivering so we ordered that.  Poor company sent an email about how they won't get near if I am scared but I work retail.  I ride the bus.  It takes a lot to scare me.  I don't think they will be delivering very long but you never know.

I am honestly sick of pizza so I ordered Ron a medium with onions, something I hate.  He should enjoy that.  He has had his protein shake, a sausage, and some Combos so far.  I am trying to eat the perishables first.

But I am done with Facebook for now I never knew how stupid so many of my "friends" have become.  They want the government to pay for everything.
