Please stop giving Cleo hamburgers. I do not think that the vet thought you would be doing this ALL the time.

I do this once a week. I think it is kinder than sitting there eating my burger in front of her. She really adores these and eats maybe 3 fingernails a day when I do have one in the fridge. They have done wonders in getting her socialized. Like the one comment said, no extenders, no fillers, just beef. That is a lot better than what's in her cat food (wet or dry). Her poops are normal and no signs of distress after eating.

I thought it was funny, if you order double cheeseburgers from McDonald's you know they come wrapped in wax paper with the condiments and that is it. I explained it was for Cleo when ordering. My burger came standard. Her burger came in the nice little cardboard box you see, resting on a lettuce leaf (not standard). She got a very nice presentation and they took a lot of care in preparing her food.

I appreciate that.

You think Cleo is bad when I had Bubba I used to order him his own fajitas (just meat, no vegetables). He loved it all, beef, chicken, shrimp. It was a $7 special at my local place. Ron would eat the guacamole and charro bean soup.

I really have the "nothing is too good for my cats" view.

I do not believe your story about the neighbor lady feeding the cats and that’s why they are fat. They are fat because of how YOU FEED THEM. They aren’t getting out enough to become obese (biscuit has to be pushing 25lb) end of story.

If you truly believed that nothing is too good for your cats, you would keep them healthy. There is nothing kind about feeding Cleo McDonald's double cheeseburgers.

You took responsibility for the health and well being of these cats when you brought them into your home. You encourage, and create, such unhealthy habits for them. It really makes me sad.

Biscuit **PER THE VET'S SCALE** is 17 pounds now, and has lost a total of 2 this year.

There is a spanish lady down the main street of our subdivision. No, I have not seen her feeding MY cats but it is a safe bet if they were roaming they found her. I have seen several cats in her yard which is what got us talking one day - as much as she could, with limited English. She absolutely said she feeds every cat that comes to the door which is why I worry about Biscuit. All my cats are BEGGARS!

This is also why I vaccinate them for FLV every year, because they do encounter other cats, strays, not vetted... but mine are.

Cleo only gets one patty of the hamburger and usually not even the whole thing. I break off little bits, about half the size of a soda bottle cap, 4-5 bites at a time. Generally about half a single patty every 4-5 days. Not a whole lot.. she is mainly eating cat food AS SHE SHOULD. We agree on that.

If a wild cat can live on mice I don't think a burger is gonna kill her.

Anonymous who listed the "ingredients" of the beef patty got it wrong. The ingredients they listed was for the ketchup.

I just feed the meat patty out of that so I think she's OK.

Fed her some more today. I did not buy her a new burger as she still had some of the old one.
