He's not dead
I finally heard: he made a miracle recovery and is doing well in the hospital.
So he's not dead. Sounds like he has some physical issues but OK mentally and talking.

Been following along as I go ...so happy he is alive! It is so important to have friends and loosing a special one is really rough glad you do not have to go through it you should take him some of your baked good specialities!

That is very good news! I hope your friend heals quickly and is back to work and life soon.
