So I made the weekly phone call

Mentioned my tooth, admittedly looking for sympathy.  My stepmother tells me to pull it.

She signed up to get 4 of my teeth pulled when I was 12.  I had to have 4 more (wisdom) pulled age 19.  I don't have many left!

Last note, she didn't say this on FB where the "good" friends and family could read.  Trying to rise above.

I MISS MY CATS!

Why pull it? Get a filling ffs

I sure hope I can do it cheap. I just couldn't believe, during the phone call, she went straight to "pull it" rather than saying something sympathetic.

Like I said, I would never ask them for money so I didn't see the origin of the harsh attitude of pulling the bad tooth.

Yeah definitely harsh!

Well, some people you can lean on. Some you cannot. I had to talk my uncle out of making an expensive purchase for Ron, he was all set to pull out his wallet and we didn't even ask.

Then I see that and it is impossible to believe it's the same family. Glad the local ones are nearby.

I don't see your uncle offering to make any expensive purchases for you. Why is that? Why is everyone in your family so keen on giving Ron things and living you twisting in the wind?

Wisdom teeth don't count. Most people get them pulled (impacted or not). I think it is just a money maker for the dentists. I had one come in and was impacted. Had it pulled but the others didn't either come in or haven't had any issues so I am 3 teeth smarter than the average adult LOL. And yes pulling teeth at 12 years old is very harsh. Your stepmother, father and the dentist should all be ashamed of themselves for it.

About when I was 12, they knew I was "high strung" they should have at least gave me a valium or something before they went in with the wrench.

In my case wisdom teeth were so bad they had to chip and drill at my jaw (you can still feel the scars on the bone) to get the teeth out. THAT I actually went begging to my Dad for the $150 to put me out and I would do it again. Back then I made about $80 a week. I had to pay him back but worth the humiliation. The other kids were not required to repay "loans" and such but I got the money and that is all that mattered.

I have NEVER asked him for money since.

Oh, my aunt and uncle would absolutely help me out if I needed it. #1, I don't ask (see above comment by me about my Dad making me beg and pay him back when I made about 1/2 poverty level back in '94). #2 I just don't need much. My aunt gives me rides to my doctor across town and that is probably the biggest and best - that and the ride to, from Austin this weekend. That would have been a horrible time on public transit.

I am very proud and self sufficient. They were a big help arranging the living expenses and giving me love gifts after Ron's accident. I am always happy to see them because they just want to see me happy and well.

Would your aunt help you buy a vacuum or vacuum for you?

Your dad and stepmom 100% suck :(

If I couldn't clean they would help. I have one, I'm just terrible about using it. My latest excuse "it will scare the cats". But they are big cats and can handle it.

Truth is I cannot become incapacitated because 6 cats x litter box = big mess if not done every day or so. I was digging for quite a while yesterday catching up!

Last time you said you had a vacuum but it didn't work. So which is it?

Last time I used it but it didn't work very well. But I have a lot of crap on the floor.
