Rain in Houston is a pretty intense event with a lot of big gusts that destroy umbrellas. Today, for instance, I brought a poncho and a rain jacket but as it turns out I didn't need them.
I also preferentially cut across 2 vacant lots to get home and of course they become boggy messes. Even though the rain stopped by the time I got off today I still had to go around the long way.
I am just not keen about going out in 3 inches an hour, 40 mph gusts if I can avoid it. :)
Save your candy money and you never have to worry about being able to afford to take a ride home when the weather is bad. Plus you can use it towards vet visits. I don't think the cats have been to the vet since Ron died. Don't you worry about them getting parasites since they are indoor/outdoor?
Candy money would only be about one ride a week. LOL
I don't worry about parasites. I do treat them with Advantage 2 for flea and tick prevention. I have food grade diatomaceous earth I can put in the wet food if I feel there is a worm issue.
