Well I slept OK aside from waking up once. I had some orange juice if I recall.
My weight was 209 last I checked so not worried about the odd carb. To me it seems the big things to avoid are the artificial sweeteners and most caffeine. I do have a little caffeine in the morning to wake up but that's it.
I did have a can of diet soda last night just because it was crazy. Apparently there was an incident in the parking lot a night or two ago and now they are telling women to take an escort. Gulp. They have never said that before.
That said I did get my stun gun out, charge is low so I am charging it. I will take that every day from now on it's not hard. And it is a good idea riding the bus anyway. Yesterday we had a white guy got on looked like he hadn't bathed in a year. And Ron wasn't much for bathing but this guy was filthy. I told my parents the homeless black guys can get a little scruffy but they are always clean but the white guys can get pretty bad, bad enough I don't want them touching me. This guy also had open, raw, sores on his arms so I don't know what disease he had. I leaned way over in my seat when he came past me.
I don't mind catching something if I am helping an accident or victim of violence. But because a homeless guy couldn't stop shooting up or whatever? No. I read a biography of a model who got hooked on heroin and died of AIDS it was a very sad story. Her mother wouldn't let the lover (she was gay) visit as the girl lay dying in the hospital it was very sad. The author took it as an indictment of the modeling industry but not all models end up like that.
While I think I have a pretty girl next door face I was never that. And with my figure I doubt I will get any modeling gigs anytime soon. I do have some age spots which in this society are bad, but I don't mind them.
Oh I managed to grab the personnel manager, she is very, very busy. I asked if she had a vest in a 2X. She said no definitely not. Then I asked if she had a 1X because I heard the 2X are "big" and "maybe it would fit". It was a little snug in the hips but it fits. So I took it. I did not get any polos which are apparently part of the uniform but I got the vest and that is all I care about. I will be throwing out my old vest as requested by management.
Work had some drama. I had to cover for a co worker who decided she was going to do her "computer based learning" video sessions last night, for over 2 hours. A boss finally pulled her off them and demanded she help me. I am way behind on my "CBL"s but have been told by my supervisor they can't spare me to do much and that is fine with me as long as they are OK with it.
Then there was the fast talking hustler guy running around shoving a clipboard in women's faces and doing some fast talk on how he needed cash. I ran him off twice and also called security. Customers don't want to come in to that. Now that said years ago I was buying washer tablets and a very polite, soft spoken, young man was nearby. I asked him if he could help get the tablets and he did. Then he mentioned he lived with his grandmother and they were having hard times. So I gave him a $5 because I did believe him, and he was polite and respectful. But normally I never do that. I felt God was leading me to it.
I need to do up my candy for the day I still have "some". I will buy more of the 98 cent stuff if they have it, they had 4 flavors I think. That is about the best deal I will get. I have a big plastic jar I mix them in so everyone gets a good variety. But sometimes I get a handful of almost all butterscotch and then when I hand out that bag the recipient goes "Oh! Butterscotch! My favorite!" So that is fun. God even directs that.
It rained while I was at work. Contractor did NOT come and I can see why.... but if he isn't here by Saturday night he is getting a text. Worst case I can drag it all off to the back of the yard, I have a corner where the yard guy was sticking large branches and that will work. Worst case contractor will get 3 star review saying the work was good but he didn't do the haul away as promised. He doesn't want that.
The cats are good. The backyard is pretty wild I really hope the yard guy comes back. I have his number but he is doing it for free so I don't want to be pushy. But if I get a letter from HOA I will hire someone even though I can't really afford it. Maybe I could call the church they said they would help and this is the sort of 1 hour job that won't take long. I will pray about it.
I need to take my shower, did not last night. I did that.
I rooted around in my pantry and found a large bag of the "good" pinata mix which is great as I was almost out. That will hold me a while especially if I buy more of the 98 cent bagged candy. Here's to hoping they have it; I have a ride home tonight so I won't have to lug it on the bus.
I found a bag of mystery meat and rice in the fridge I had taken out of the freezer yesterday, still mostly frozen but I need to eat it today, so I am taking that for my lunch. I think it is the ginger pork roast. That was pretty good. I had some tuna for breakfast so that should hold me a while.
I will admit I might get a 2 pack of donuts before work. We will see. I have my water bottle, snacks, I just need to put my medication in my lunch bag and get the cold packs.
Awww there's Cleo by my leg all cute and squeaking out little meows. Then she went under my chair. I was going to say my IKEA chair but they all are except the one I'm sitting on came from Sam's Club. It was about $20 from what I recall, a folding chair rated up to a thousand pounds. Might be good if I get a large visitor one day. Bible does say we should be hospitable.
I am wearing one of my "performance" t shirts which will hopefully keep me cooler today on the way to work. Worst case I may need to bring an extra shirt and change into it before work on really hot days. My Degree deodorant does a very good job so no complaints in that department. It lasts a long time too.
Anyway I have an IKEA Pello chair, it is very comfortable, my Dad bought it for me. Then I have my Lillberg loveseat next to it, also very comfortable. Ron liked to trail his hand along the back as he'd go back to his room from the kitchen and asked me once to never move it. He was so lost when the flood people took it a few years ago. They did bring it back it was just hard for him so he just stayed in his room. Then I have an IKEA fold out loveseat by the front door, I have slept on it, it's not bad. A little hard for this fat middle aged lady getting up though. My aunt likes that one.
But Cleo is under the Pello. I put a rug under there as the chair was sliding around a little and it needed a nonskid surface. The rug does very well and the cats like to sleep on it. I will be gone a long time today so I'm glad they have their little spots. Both the boys were in Ron's room. Biscuit still remembers the hole in the wall and was meowing at the wall wanting "in" again but that's gone. I have a plumber access panel but that is closed off. The guys were really good about keeping that for me so I wouldn't have more drywall repair the next time I need to redo the shower.
I did see a really good deal at work on painters pants in the clearance section so I let the painter know about it, he said he would be right out. Good. $5.50 is robbery. Get as many as you can! I don't know if your store is doing this but if you know a painter and their size you might look.
I have a pretty good roster of contractors, drywall, paint, HVAC, plumber, just need electrical and a reliable handyman. Greg is great but he is not young and I worry about him. The fence guy didn't really work out. But I will find someone.
Anyway I need to go. Take care.
