Your bathroom is the stuff of nightmares. It needs to be completely gutted and redone.

Instead of wasting $2000 on a walk-in tub use that money to get a new toilet and tub and flooring installed too.

The tile is fine, the bathroom is gutted.

I can’t believe you made those men work in the messy kitchen.

I didn't even know they would be working in the kitchen. For some reason I assumed drywall repairs would only cover water mediation and not the repipe.

BTW when you link to your YouTube, your full name shows up. I personally don't think there's much harm in simply having your name out there, but at least now you know.

This is an honest question because I really don't understand. Don't you see the filth that we see? How can you even sit on that toilet, not only the bowl but all around the floor area? How can the build-up of urine and crud not bother you? You don't even cook yet your kitchen is a mess, don't you buy any cleaning products?

Another poster said we were rude talking about your house cleaning, but damn Heather how do you live like that?

I have cleaning supplies.

Do I generally look at things and go "eww", no. Maybe that goes to the brain damage? I don't know. My driving is all roasted to hell so maybe the "good housekeeping" part of my brain is, too. I honestly don't know, but I would guess since "everyone" "normal" is reacting it is a brain damage thing.

I am OK with my name being out there. About 10 years ago I was basically doxxed by Deb on a low carb message board, she posted my full name next to my "handle". I was not on the board at the time and it had been up there for a year by the time I found out. So it's already out there.

Plus people have tagged me in photos, etc. It would be very easy to find me using the information I commonly share as well.

The water in your toilet is black. You can't see that? If you use bleach in it it shouldn't be black like that.

Heather Knits said...

It is mineral build up and the bleach is happening, but I have been told I need a new toilet per the plumber.

That’s poop not minerals. I’m pretty sure mineral build up would be orange. Regardless you need to clean the “buildup” with some CLR or other cleaner because that’s going to be another catastrophe.

I predict in a few months time that black toilet will quit working and you won’t get it fixed because Ron doesn’t want to do both of you will use the toilet chair. It will be like an episode of hoarders.

I googled it and you need to use bleach and a toilet brush to clean it. You are not doing that and not flushing your toilet enough to get that kind of buildup of black in it

Heather Knits said...

You can predict it, doesn't mean it will happen. And that chair has been very handy when we're having contractors. My bathroom isn't closed in yet.

We have had a very long policy of only flushing on solids, which will have to change. I think the lithium in my urine makes the deposits combined with the hard water.

Thank you for answering my question.
