Sunday evening

Well I spent as much time on the bus/waiting on it as I did actually working.  My boss came in on her day off "to shop" but checked up on everyone.  I had to say "NO" several times to customers who really knew better.  One guy I said "No means no" after telling him no several times.

One of the other girls who does my job comes off sort of "hard".  I thought she was just hard but I can see how she got that way.  Sometimes you cannot be nice.  It is preferred, of course, but if something violates store policy and something I have been told by multiple managers I am going to say "NO".

Anyway other than that it was fine.  I made my $48 and left.  Actually I made $50 because I had to stay a little later.  I headed out to the bus stop and there's a homeless guy.  [rolleyes]  It gets old.

He was busy murdering a box of ice cream sandwiches so he didn't bother me.  That was a relief.  I still kept my vest on.  I got home OK.

This morning I was a block away from the house when I remembered I had forgotten my mask, I had to go back.  I got it and still got out there on time.  The bus was late so the sun was almost up by the time the bus arrived, it was plenty light out.  If I have to catch the 6:30 bus in the morning it won't be dark for long.  I still need to sit down with my schedule and figure out transportation, times leaving the house, etc.  It is going to be a weird couple days once I get back to work.

But I am off!  For 3 days!  That is nice even though 2 days it is going to rain.  Tomorrow I plan to go to Food Town and get some meat, maybe some lemons if they are a good deal.  I love lemons in tea, in water, etc.  I just need to see if I can find some good ones at a decent price.  I don't plan on getting any canned goods because I have to carry "whatever" I buy half a mile home from the bus stop.  I have considered buying one of those rolling carts and may, I just need to think about it and do some research.  I will have to wait a couple weeks or longer to get it.

In the meantime any canned goods can get bought at Walmart.

The boys are not handling their diet very well.  I am going to bed.

Why are you starving your cats? If you want them to have less food you reduce it grafuly not all at once. The amount of food you give them is pretty negligible even before these new cut backs. See how you would feel.If out of the blue you got 50% less food than what your used to.

This comment I will allow. I have always fed them half a cup dry per cat, as instructed by my vet. You, whoever you are, are not my vet.

If I had to guess I think the "Cat lady" who fed all the strays (and likely mine) in the neighborhood moved or stopped feeding them. They had probably gotten accustomed to eating that.

Also, have you actually looked at my cat photos? All of my cats are obese and probably weigh 2x what they should.

Heather has lost 2 cats, it makes sense not to put out so much food. She would NEVER "starve" her cats. SMH

Yeah, half cup times 5 cats is a lot more than half cup times 3. I am considering offering a small evening meal because they get hungry then. They will adjust and will have much better lives when they slim down a bit.

I hope you are using a separate bowl for each cat. You used to give them wet food but I guess you dont do that anymore.

Biscuit can't have wet food it would block him. I tried the special urinary wet foods at the tune of $50 a case and he wouldn't touch it. I ended up giving it to the vet (this was in more prosperous times). So they all eat dry.

Ideally I would have microchip feeders for each cat so they would only get "their" food.

When Biscuit dies the remaining cats will get a lot of wet food as I do feel it is generally better for a cat.
