Well..I had my hair down when I checked in with my boss.  She noticed and made *several helpful suggestions* on how I could make it "look better" including blow drying it straight - I have never used my hair dryer Ron used it for defrosting the freezer at work ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚- and doing a comb over in the front as the hair is thin.

THANKS I know it is thin in front.  ๐Ÿ˜œ

Then I got a text message from the church in response to my request for a ride - he basically said attend the church for a while - HOW if I don't have a ride!!!- make a female friend and maybe she could help.  Made me feel unwanted for sure.

OTHER than that my night is going well.  I got Ace his giant candy bar.  Could not find Biscuit's cat food so I will order with Chewy.

Going to go eat my sausage.  A friend got me a cup of coffee so I am hoping I don't get indigestion.

That's it for now.

I thought you said the church was a few miles away. Why can't you get yourself there?

It's a formal dress church so I can't wear my walking shoes, and my area doesn't really believe in the concept of "sidewalks". It is far enough it would be a problem.

A couple miles in a car is no big deal. A couple miles on foot, in flats, not going to happen.

I have talked about this but growing up my Dad always picked up a disabled widow and brought her to church with us every week. That was our duty and no big deal.

But trying to get a ride for this disabled widow is impossible. That makes 2 churches who have told me to *&^! off after I asked for rides. Times have certainly changed.

Maybe it is because I am apparently able-bodied I don't know.

And I would be happy to get someone a coffee...

LOL nothing like those Jesus people to make you feel welcome. I would rather party in hell then be around these pathetic excuses for human beings that claim salvation.

I thought your aunt cut your hair and it looked great? Apparently not since the supervisor commented on it. Next time go to an actual hair salon.

Aren't you glad you didn't waste money on a bunch of fancy clothes to attend that church?

Well I'm going to allow the one comment. I think my hair looks great. It is a little thin in the front from lithium hair loss but nothing I can do about that unless I want to ante up for Rogaine. I don't, by the way. Love me love my thin spot.

Boss just wanted to play fashion police? I don't know it's the first time in 2 and a half years. I will just keep it pulled back when I'm working like I did before.

I will try to get a photo. My aunt took several but the storm in North Texas knocked out her power today.

My church has a small bus that picks up people at nursing homes. I don't know if they go to people's homes but I can't imagine them turning down someone in need.
Maybe this is a sign it's not a good church.

Heather Knits said...

Oh it's a sign.

1. They are out of touch with poor people who lack transportation.
2. They lack empathy basically telling me to go get a ride on my own. If I could do that I wouldn't ask for one.

So I won't be going back. I am glad I did not fill out a contact card.

Have you ever read what the Bible says about hell?
Not something to joke about.

Sorry, but I agree with the church. They don't know you. I don't give rides to people I don't know, to church or anywhere. If you were a friend of a church member, or a friend of a friend, I would do it. If I knew you from church for a while, I would do it.

If you had bothered to go for a little while and met people there, I'm sure someone would have offered rides at least some of the time. I lacked transportation for most of my life. I get it. In this case, I would have paid for rides if it was a church I really liked.

Good thing Jesus didn't wait to see if we were worthy before he hung on the cross for humanity.

Agree Jesus died for them all.

One theory I got in real life maybe they thought I was a bad influence and didn't want me alone with the menfolk.

But as rare as it is to find a Christian man into evangelism (and it's rare) it is even rarer to find a WOMAN into it so it's going to be damned hard (sorry for the swear, Lord) to find a woman to back my play.

So not hopeful but my family has asked me not to give up on the church.

Heather the churches arefull of hypocritical sinners who are righteous in their own eyes. It's NOT you, it's them. Of course Satan wants to discourage your search for a church and if you find one he'll probably try to shut it down for covid. J.D. Farag thinks we're at the end and soon your readers will get their wish to dance with the devil. I pray they will seek Jesus while he can be found.
