Probably the same thing I am, that Ron will lose his taste for alcohol and seek a good painkiller instead. That he will repent of his abusive behavior and treat me as a valued helpmeet, and respect me. That he will have a good work ethic and a better attitude overall. That's pretty much what I want.

Was talking to my alcoholic dad this morning. Society has lost our way. A nation of pill popping addicts who are trying to escape reality.
In 50 short years I don't recognize this as the world I grew up in.
We may be advancing in technology and new drugs but at what cost?
