More

WELL.

Not long ago I typed out a bitter tirade about our crusade against Ron's neuropathy.  Ron tried everything, tons of diagnostic procedures, had electrified needles stuck into his legs, and guess what?

The cough suppressant killed it.

That's right.  I gave him 10 ml of over the counter Dextromethorban (Delsym) syrup.  He went to sleep because he'd been up all night.  When he woke up, he seemed in a very good mood.  I asked him how he was feeling, and he said great.

I asked him about the shooting electric shock that has been plaguing his right foot.  IT'S GONE! He cried.

Good stuff.  We're getting more.

Be careful mixing that with everclear! Holy shit hide the bottle girl!

It is an easy substance to abuse and od on!

Yeah, Ron had a nasty side effect. I don't think he'll be taking any more.

I'm glad it helped, but can he take that stuff long term? Is it habit forming? Something to be careful of. I know not even Benalyn can be taken long term..and the night time DM stuff contains alcohol.
If he mixes cough syrup with alcohol, it could be dangerous.
Not meaning to sound like a know it all, just concerned.
