Heidi, I don't know if you were reading back in 2008 when Ron got so, so, sick and couldn't even taste his food. It really makes me happy to see him enjoying his food again.
Caveman, he COULD, but we had a talk many years ago. On our first date we went to a ratty little taco shack and got a giant order of nachos. He was a very messy eater, even with the use of both hands. He apologized, and I said he didn't have to "play nice" eating around me as long as he enjoyed his food. He was quite civilized on our family reunion cruise.
I don't mind if he eats like a barbarian when I'm around. I secretly find it "cute".
I find him cute, you don't. Well, that's why I married him. [grin] Ron is a unique man; I'm unique. We fit each other well, and have for over 19 years now.
I mainly made this video for a Facebook friend; who works for Conagra.
A good time to mention Ron really only has the use of one hand, anyway.
Poor Facebook friend!! Poor internet! I will never eat another microwave meal again. Eating with your hands is one thing, but sounding liek you are having an orgasm is another. GLACK! I guess thats what you hear when he's on the "chat line" LOL

Heather, next time Ron says something hateful about he wishes he had a "normal" woman? You could always remind him that you're the only person in the world who finds him cute. Honestly, the eating with his fingers and the grunting and the noises? Really disgusting. If you find it cute - more power to you. Reality check about how the rest of the world sees him? He's not going to like it, so maybe he should realize how lucky he is to have you.
With that said? You can't post this stuff and also want to post informational videos about FAS and bipolar to help others. You can't. You just undid ALL your hard work right there. This video says: crazy, don't care how others see me, not interested in societal norms or fitting in, I'm going to make a spectacle of myself and post it on youtube.
I think before you get all grossed out you need to remember Heather is being generous sharing her life ..you have a blind alcoholic with a head injury and horrific neuropathy...who did not eat anything and enjoy it for ages
and you have a severe biPolar woman who balances living her live with toxic doses of medication

be grateful! and learn something!!! do not judge she does not judge you ..
they are productive members of the community who happen to struggle with the things we take for granted..

This post is right up there with the lady who broke the wheelchair lift. Anonymous, I'll have to disagree with you there. I don't feel seeing Ron, in real life "undoes" anything.
I don't think you will ever find anything, anywhere that ever implies either of us are "normal". I do agree that it does break one of my rules: Don't scare the normals.
