Today has been pretty quiet.
I woke up with a headache, at 6:30. I got up and took some aspirin and drank a diet Mountain Dew. That often helps.
It did, somewhat.
I took a shower and did my God Time. Then I did some laundry.
I used to love to run the "soak" cycle on my old washer, the clothes would agitate for a while, then just sit there until I ran the "proper" cycle. It was great. For really bad stains, I could keep it in there for a day or so before I ran the load.
My new washer has a soak cycle but it doesn't work the same, it only holds the clothes in the water for about half an hour. Still better, I think, than nothing.
Ron gave me a pair of pants yesterday. They were pretty stained from food, etc. They needed some work.
I ran the "soak" cycle with some non-chlorine stain remover, then spun out the extra water when the soak was done. I threw a Tide Pod (sensitive skin formula) into the washer and ran a load on "heavy duty". When it finished the clothes looked great (I inspect before they go in the dryer).
I took a nap. I had nightmares and woke up with a returned headache, took some asprin, back to bed, and slept a little longer. When I got up, I ran the dryer and watched a movie with Ron. "Love Potion #9".
It was pretty bad.
Ron also had me watch the start of another movie because he thought it featured a couple having sex in an elevator, which wasn't the case. They were in an apartment, after they got off the elevator.
It is amazing what they put in movies these days. There's very little difference between a modern movie and a porno, except better acting in the modern one. I can't think of a single movie I've watched recently, without a simulated sex scene. Except maybe "The Avengers".
Maybe that's one reason I like superhero movies - "Captain America" was pretty clean, too. At any rate the headache is back and I am done with movies for the day.
Ron's been OK. If he has something to focus on (like a movie) he is less likely to drink. In fact, that is one reason he's giving for not wanting the surgery - the fact that he will have to give up his cable box while he's in the hospital.
I feel pretty lousy. I'm going to distract myself with some brainless TV watching for a while and then go to bed.
