Overall I was pretty warm going to work but the basic flip top glove/mitten did not suffice. My hands were freezing cold and took about 20 minutes to warm up. I had to wait outside about half an hour. I couldn't take a chance she'd run early (no passengers), or late as usual. She was late. That's OK I got to work alright.
I set up a curry before I left and I put that on the timer before I left. I have a basic wall timer; plug the crock pot into that. I don't like mushy vegetables (except potatoes) so I had potatoes only in there with the chicken. When I got home I sorted some mixed vegetables, pulled out the green beans (I find the idea of curried green beans nauseating), warmed up the rest in some of the juices (microwave) and then threw it back into he crock pot for another hour. I also took some juices (I had a lot) and made some rice as a side with it. The flavors can mingle. And that's a lot of food for a while.
I had a taste of the broth it is very warming. I used a LOT of ginger.
Taking a nap. Couldn't sleep.
I did figure out how to charge my rechargable hand warmer.
In about half an hour I'll have some curry for dinner.
