Sunday morning

So it was the usual thing on Saturday.  I called, voicemail.  I didn't leave a message, lost my temper (for me) and said screw it and turned off the phone.  They know when I'm going to call because they told me to call then.  If they don't want to talk, fine, but I am sick of the "Hey, I'm so busy I can't be bothered today" text or whatever.  So I went to bed early.

I slept OK until about midnight when #19 started the party.  Ron was hungry anyway, and his knee was bothering him.  The left knee was dragged about 2 blocks on the pavement and has a commensurate road rash scar on the inside part of the knee, about the size of a knee cap.  So, obviously damaged.

A DO (Osteopath Doctor) said his knees were "very crunchy (with arthritis) and we will have to deal with that".  I haven't had much luck with DO's for Ron and just have a conventional doctor for him now.  It is a shame because I am all for alternative medicine.

Anyway, I did his knee, the Voltaren is working.  Good.  I will get more.  I don't like to spend more than $10 on an unknown but the Walmart size was a good start.  It's enough for me to see it helps.  So I can buy the bigger tube on Amazon.

Nice to find something that works, doesn't reek, etc.  It is also a lot safer for him.

And he was hungry, so I made him some enchiladas.  He could eat them once I cut them up and gave him something to wipe his hands.  He never uses silverware it is too hard.  I don't care, I am just happy he can feed himself.  I cut it into bites and he did the rest.  He liked it (El Monterey Chicken Enchiladas).  The party was still going so he called the police.

I am all for having a good time but the house next door to #19 has a PROFOUNDLY disabled little boy, they are keeping him up with their party.  No way anyone can sleep through that.  Not only that Ron - sleep deprivation = seizures according to one of his doctors.  So I don't need that.  So you're hurting 2 people (not counting me!) with disabilities because you want to get drunk and be obnoxious all night.  They did get a lot better with the parties when one of the couples had a baby - they got that baby, and all the neighbors, needs to sleep at night.  But now and then they go off track.

One thing you can say about my neighborhood, at least over here, it is quiet.  Everyone values that and makes it happen.  Except them.  But I think there is always that one neighbor.

For instance, all these nice brick houses on my street, my little clapboard house, and it's orange.  Although Pete says he is coming to paint it next month.  We'll see.  Maybe I can get him to help with the garbage disposal, that would save me hundreds right there.  If the house is painted I plan to go gray.  There is at least one gray house on the street, HOA said gray and brown are the preferred colors, etc.  It will still be the cute little house, just gray.  I will have to change all my delivery notes, though.

That will be nice if I can get BOTH done.  We will see, I am hopeful.  He did do a great job fixing the bathroom and the siding.  I think he will be impressed at the improvements.  He did opt out of the drywall repair!  Which was a multi thousand dollar job as it turns out.  Which was done great by wonderful Carlos who I will love forever.

But it will be nice to have a handy man around and Ron won't feel emasculated because Pete is very humble.  It is hard for Ron to watch people work on the house but he understands.

He was just now asking me to read him a Bible verse and I gave him his braille Bible.  Actually an entire braille Bible takes up a bookcase.  So I gave him Titus-Revelation.  We are missing between 1 Corinthians and Titus but I have the rest of it in braille for the New Testament.  He liked the NKJV so I got him that.  It was donated - they get donations at the Bible place and then send them out to blind people on request.  Or they did.  The only place I found recently you buy the Bible and a New Testament runs about $200.  /They make a big deal about "free shipping" but ALL material for the blind, ships free.  But he is reading away in the back room.  The books I need to replace are about $40 I will probably do that this pay period.

Good, I think it is important to read the Bible for yourself.  Which I need to do.

Saturday

Did not sleep well, had to get up a few times.  One time Ron lost his cell phone and it kept yelling BATTERY LOW again and again.  Some other things I forget.

5 AM (pill time) came very early.  I gave Ron his medication with juice as he has refused any more vitamins/supplements and only wants pain/blood pressure/seizure pill, so juice is OK.

Then I went back to bed.  I got up took care of him and the cats, head is better.  Glad that's all over.

My deposit went through, I always like to see it before I start spending money.  I have never had a problem with something NOT going through.  The only "issue" if you can call it that, when I went to the bank with $20K total from 2 insurance checks.  The bank manager said only $5K would be available for a week until it cleared, and vetted us thoroughly.  I was fine with that.  And I did get all the money and had a REALLY nice balance for a week or two until I started writing checks!  And they gave me a free order of checks out of it, too, very nice.  So I am VERY happy with my bank.

I do need a bigger wallet so I can handle all the medical appointment cards, etc.  Ron's primary doctor has a very complicated last name and it is hard to pronounce or spell, somewhat like mine.  So I have to have one of his business cards, and one for the neuro, and of course the appointment card for the neuro, and the pain doctor, makes for a pretty thick wallet.  I have one of those metal wallets but it can only hold so much so I will be looking for a new wallet with some of my money (not much).

I have all Ron's information in a binder now.  That makes it a lot easier to organize and take with.  I also have my daily log/journal for him how many poops, bath times, change bedding, etc.  General mood if bad (not common).

I did start a log for me as well.  I don't log my poops but just what I ate and when I took my pills, how I slept.

The cats are good, not very cuddly but Spotty did say Hi.  He is a good boy, very cute and the most adoptable of them all.  Torbie is also pretty cute but on her last leg.  Her favorite thing ever is laying in bed next to Ron, they make a cute pair.  I am caught up on laundry but need to do some housework.

I did a poll in my caregiver group and EVERY single person who responded said they would LOVE someone to come over and help with: HOUSEWORK.  They don't want help suctioning the trach hole.  They don't want a butt wiper, they want someone to vacuum, put the groceries away (most of us get our groceries delivered).  So if you love someone who is a caregiver you might offer to help do a load of laundry.

Odds are they will say no but they will remember you offered.  Oh, I had a really weird house cleaning thing just happen.  As you know a few months ago I finally got a new toilet, a very nice one I want to keep immaculate.  I bought a hang-in freshener, it goes over the edge of the toilet and hangs down in the water flow, the water runs over the tablet and freshens the bowl with every flush.  Good concept.

Until I found the tablet, off the holder, in the bowl last night.  It would have clogged if I didn't reach in and pull it out.  Happily I found this before I had to use the bowl.  Not happy.  I don't want to put anything in the tank as that can eat at the rubber gasket.

I may just ramp up my cleaning to 2x a week instead of once.  I am sure that will cover it.  It's just the two of us.

My protein shake froze in the fridge and has the most revolting texture now.  It is vile and I was gagging trying to get it down, but too cheap to throw it out.  Those things aren't cheap.   But it was so bad I did throw it out.  I ate some turkey instead.

Horribly depressed.  Do I fake my way through the weekly phone call?  Beg off and get phony sympathy/guilttrip tomorrow?  I don't know. I will probably fake it.

One day they will be most upset to find out I viewed the calls as a burden and not a joy.

Friday afternoon

This headache is, like, tidal.  It ebbs.  Then surges back.

I was OK long enough to do some laundry, take a shower, clean the litter boxes, go to my bank, go to Walmart - started coming back.  Big heavy black clouds sitting over my part of the city but no rain.

It's more a tightness in my neck right now. I decided to try my aunt's sure fire fix (I haven't, before), one tylenol and one advil taken together.  We will see how that works.  I also have tightness in the front of my head and a drilling pain, off and on, in one or the other temples.  Just not a fun couple of days let me tell you.

And I don't even know the trigger, most of the time I can point at something like chocolate or nuts and say "I ate that and got sick".  I keep yawning, too.  I was lying in bed at one point, a trusty cat by my side, thinking of the oxygen therapy they started doing for migraines, how it actually helped.  If I were a lotto winner I might have called someone to, literally, bring it.

Couldn't hurt!  But I have to depend on room air and my lungs.  That was the nice thing about the check, I can order some more of the HEPA filters for the A/C.  I got some really nice ones from Amazon back in January I figured my system needed all the help it could get.  https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CR9JHWS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1  They certainly did the job and I will be getting more when the deposit clears.  Both Ron and I are allergic to cats.  This does a good job grabbing the dander.

Although we are apparently very unusual in that we keep the thermostat pretty high.  When I tell other people that they can't believe it.  So the system does not run that much to be honest.  I am comfortable most of the time, unless I am wracked with a migraine or a hot flash, and I have pretty much nailed the hot flashes with the menopause herbs.  [Dong Quai, Wild Yam from Swanson vitamins)  I also have a fan pointed at my bed which helps.  But do I walk around saying "Oh, it's hot"?  No.

That was one huge selling point for the City of Houston - it is nearly always warm and humid, which I prefer.  CA was cool and dry, most of the time, or cold and damp if you were talking about San Francisco.  Great if you appreciate 60 degrees and damp, overcast, weather.  Not really my thing although I do crave cold everything when I have a headache.

Traditional Chinese Medicine would have a lot to say about that, that I have a heat imbalance and need to eat more fish, greens, cucumber, etc, "cold" foods, take "cold" herbs, etc.  I was into that for a while.  I found this herb, Radix Ophogonosis that was great for my dry allergy cough.  I used to buy it in China town.  Ron would go with me although one shop keeper said he was "bad luck" being blind and wouldn't let him in the store.  I took out my money, showed it to him, and said "I'm taking this with me" and stormed off, dragging Ron.

I do tend to go Mama Bear around Ron.  One thing I bought today: a notebook to organize all his medical paperwork.  Actually he calls me the Pit Bull.  [laugh]  Guilty.

Both Ron and I needed a protector growing up.  I think it is a little like my great-niece, she did not have that either.  Now that she is expecting I venture she will be an excellent mother because she understands her child needs a protector, and the child's needs will come first on occasion.  Ron and I may very well have been good parents in that regard, God will tell me one day.

I absolutely believe it is God's will for me to be child free right now.  I was curious and looked up surrogates, and embryo adoption, so my google search history looks very pathetic.  But I was just curious.  Apparently an embryo adoption is about $3K.  That's not bad considering you may very well get a child out of that.  One without all the family curses.  [thumbs up]  I did find it sad they are legally seen as property and not humans.  I am a pro lifer and believe life starts at conception so an embryo is human...but not all see it that way.

The last couple days I was recalling when I was a little girl with these migraines saying "Mommy" (I called my stepmother Mommy/Mom up until about age 16) "My head hurts" and I would be sobbing with pain which would of course make the pain worse.  I am glad I didn't do that to a child.

That would be awful.  Ron is asleep that seizure pill is great for knocking him out.  He is good about asking is it time for his pills and taking them when I give them.  He did stop taking the vitamins.  Oh, well.  I will accept that as long as I can keep getting the prescriptions into him.  And he doesn't want another trip to the ER.

I did up all our pills together.  That was pretty comical, I had to "fix" it a few times.  But Ron has all his meds on the table and I have all mine over by my computer.  On occasion, rarely, I have messed up doing my own pills so I am vigilant about checking to make sure it's all there.

Next time, I will sit down, do his, finish, do mine.  Too easy to fork it up.  I didn't... but I could have.  So I like to be smart.

The Tylenol/Advil cocktail did help considerably.  That is a nice surprise.  Oh, and I almost forgot, I got some of the Voltaren arthritis cream for Ron.  He is eager to try it but says nothing hurts right now.  He was hurting earlier before I left which is why I got it.  It used to be prescription, and very expensive.  A doctor had written some for him but we couldn't afford it.  Now we will see if it helps and I feel OK about a $10 experiment, especially if it helps.  If it does help I will get a couple more tubes next time I am flush and will have it on hand.

I just hate to see him suffer; I want to feel equipped to deal with his issues.  Anything that can help is welcome in my tool chest.

Speaking of tools I did get my medication on board.  Hopefully that will also help the headache.  Depakote is supposed to be good for that.

I am going to have to ask my doctor about Keppra as it is a seizure drug, and seizure drugs are often used for bipolar disorder.  Do I want to take it?  No,what I take works for me.  But I am curious to see if it is used, as well.  Many other seizure drugs are commonly used for migraines and or bipolar now.  It works for some reason on all conditions.  One reason I started on the Depakote.  It is supposed to help with headaches.

I am unsure if it has, actually.  But it does help with the mixed episodes so I will do it for that.

I need to go to bed pretty soon if I am getting up at 5 to give Ron his medicine.  I am very uptight about every 12 hours on the dot.  I was looking through the discharge papers and they said most repeat seizures are from not taking medication as directed.  That makes sense and that is nearly entirely preventable.

I do need to make up a card I can carry in case I am injured and unable to talk so they would know to send help for Ron.  And help for the cats as well.  But most people are really only going to care about Ron.

Well, I am feeling pretty human so glad I tried the cocktail.  I can do that again I have plenty of both Ibuprofen and Tylenol.  Hopefully I will sleep OK tonight too.  I haven't the last couple nights which is bad.

Happily I haven't had to do much vending work and Ron has been pretty low key.  I can sleep in tomorrow after I give him his medication.

And my pills agreed with the glass of milk and a granola bar.  I was a little worried about that.

I'm going to keep a food log if it kills me

I need to figure out how to put the supplements in there but I am DONE with these headaches.  I suspect this one came from me putting a Kratom in my pill organizer.  Needless to say I got rid of the Kratom.

I had a truly awful night, and Ron's pill alarm went off right when I did fall asleep.  I got up and gave him his meds.  A couple hours later he asked for one of the frozen bacon cheeseburgers I bought from Walmart, those have been very tasty for him.  I heated it up, gave it to him with a bottle of Coke, and crawled back to bed.

A couple hours later I am functional, still leaking tears but I can sit in front of the computer.  I was able to take some Excedrin which helped but I will just have to wait this out.

NOT going to Walmart as I had planned, maybe there is a germ factory there walking around would have got me.  I have a pile of towels from Ron's bath yesterday I am not washing until I feel better.  I need to take a shower at some point.  All of that is on hold.

Ron is OK, fed, medicated, we did the toilet thing at some God-awful hour.  Happily he did not need me to do any lifting.  I had already thrown up so I had an empty stomach when I emptied the commode bucket.  That's pretty much a once a day deal so I should be better the next time Toilet Time rolls around.

My bank used to be open on weekends I will need to check, I don't think it is anymore.  Which makes me really glad I did pay the credit card already.

They are not making that easy to find out.

And Labor Day is Monday so it may be Tuesday before I get to the bank if I don't go today.  Really glad I made that credit card payment.  I am not up for a Walmart today, much less my bank.

OK, up for a shower, did that, nice cold rinse.  I am doing that more as I tend to get dizzy if the water is very warm (it's a medication thing).  A nice cold rinse helped.  I actually wanted some cold water (one notable thing about a migraine I am never hungry or thirsty, and that is very unusual for me not to be thirsty) to drink, after.

I turned the thermostat in the fridge and all the waters and my protein shakes froze.  So I had to adjust it back.  I still have several bottles of half frozen water which are very tasty.

Spotty got in bed with me for a while, got some petting, he is so cute.  Out of all my cats everyone wants Spotty.  He is adorable, as sweet as he is cute.  But he loves his sister and it would kill them to split up, and I think I'm the only one patient enough to love Cleo.

Ron was listening to country music and crying earlier, enough that Torbie and Baby Girl got into bed with him.  I am not getting affected by that, I am sorry he's crying but he needs to express his emotions and he has a lot to cry about.

I think in both our families there was a big "shut up you don't have anything to cry about" theme.  I am working on overcoming that and being supportive.  I have not always been so.  I am working on that, I don't take it as a reflection on my care of him.  He is crying because he is an old, f*cked up cripple in a wheelchair with very few friends.  Business is terrible.  He can't work (not safe).  He has seizures now.  Etc.  So I think it is healthy even though I don't think it is pleasant.

Just now he asked for some pain cream, which I applied to his right hand.  He has never had problems with the right hand.  But the poor man is riddled with arthritis.  If things were different I would have him on a strict keto diet, but take this morning.  He's hungry.  I just vomited my dinner into a bucket.  No way can I cook, but I could heat up a frozen hamburger for him.

So I do my best, but I wish I could do more.  I think strict keto would be very helpful but the man loves his spaghettios.  And chicken strips.  Eating is one of the few things he has left, and he doesn't eat that much.  When I can, I try to have good options for him like the rotisserie chicken.  We have a ton of that in the freezer.

I think I might be able to go to Walmart today, once I finish my laundry.  Oh, this cold water is so refreshing.  That is one thing I hope I can do; be grateful and appreciative of the small things in life.  I am feeling a lot better which is great.

Last night was just truly terrible.  I'm still not hungry yet but I think I can get to my bank at least.

I haven't had a headache like this in a while

Brutal.  Can't sleep.  Ron talked me into smoking some hemp which helped somewhat but I am still in enough pain I have tears running down my face.

I am so glad I never had kids.  Migraines are rampant in both sides of my family.  Very genetic, like the mental illness.  No matter the father, I most assuredly would have had a child with migraines and mental illness.  With Ron they would have been blind, to boot.

I am glad we caught his high blood pressure before he had any serious complications.   And on that note, I just checked mine.  It is fine, about 120/80 which isn't bad considering my pain level.  Heart rate is reasonable as well.

I do need to keep an eye on my blood pressure as that was at least one of the factors in my mother's death.  Her heart was a real mess from untreated (she knew she had it) high blood pressure and it killed her.  I don't want to leave Ron like that.  Not with something I could prevent.

On that note I should be working out again but the thought of exerting myself right now (with the migraine) makes me want to vomit.  But one thing about migraines I will get over it, even though I am weeping with pain.

Heather, you might wonder, why don't you take Imitrex or whatever?  It works great for (me, family member, etc).  Can't, with lithium.  It is BAD.

Well, shit.  Yah, it used to work great for me.  Now it is finally, probably, a $4 generic and I can't take it due to the mood stabilizer.  But a migraine won't kill me (unless I am having a fatal stroke).  Bipolar absolutely COULD kill me.  Kind of like Ron, the Tramadol doc gave him for pain can cause seizures, so now Ron won't touch it.  All I had to say 'It lowers your seizure threshold and makes them more likely" and he practically threw them across the room.  Even when HE (a lot of fun at my place) is practically weeping with pain he doesn't want it.

But nights like tonight I'm really glad we didn't have kids.  I am pretty sure one of his back problems is inherited, too, and he had a lot of pain with that.  You can actually see the defective vertebrae.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scheuermann%27s_disease and I am sure he would say he wouldn't put a child through what he's endured with his back.

I got a really cold bottle of water from the fridge and that is helping.

Ron's family, growing up every food in the house was for every one in the house.  If it was in the fridge/pantry any family member could eat it.  In my house growing up they had "their" food and I was not allowed to touch it, punished for eating it, allocated "some" food but not what most would consider appetizing.  A lot of white bread, peanut butter, milk, etc.  Sometimes some bologna or processed cheese I could use to make a grilled cheese.  Oh, and tomato soup.  For some reason my stepmother always bought a lot.  I used to make it with half a can of milk and half a can of water, my primary abuser used to love that with a fried bologna sandwich (back when he was a decent, lovable, child).  I would cook for him.  Anyway, I was taught there were just a lot of foods I wasn't allowed to eat in the house.

I can't stand tomato soup, now.

I will let you make your own conclusion on that, Ron was horrified when I told him.  I noticed the grandkids had pretty free reign at my aunt's house so I don't think she follows the policy I grew up with, either.  Ron gets irate if I even mention "your food".  He says that is not his house, in his house I have whatever I want.

But I do have the tendency that is not "my" bottled water, I "can't" drink it, it is for Ron and guests.  Who is bringing it in the house?  Who buys it?  Who puts it in the fridge?  Who takes out the empty bottles to recycle?  Who takes the recycle can to the street?  Me.  So why the HELL isn't it my water?  But I have to make a point to remind myself it is "mine".

I did have some condensed soup for dinner, right now I am fairly queasy.  One of the very rare occasions I did not take my pills tonight.  One night isn't going to kill me but I will be glad when I can.  And, yes, I did tell the social worker I rarely do not take my pills if I have a migraine.

With her, I took the policy tell the truth there is nothing to remember.  I don't have to keep my story straight.  And I really don't think it would go well if I was caught lying.  I think I am doing an OK job taking care of me and Ron.  He is getting all the medical care, nutrition, medication, etc.  There is nothing he needs I have failed to do for him.

Oh I am miserable.  I was planning to go to Walmart tomorrow but I bought myself a few days if I need them; I paid the credit card.  It takes about a week to process but I got it in time.  My credit score, according to the card company, is in the 600's, not great but it was in the 500's when we bought the house.  I think most of it I don't have a payment history because I didn't owe any money for years.

I had a hospital bill I paid off $50 a month but that dropped off a while back, I think.  At any rate I am making bigger than minimum payments, early, every month so that can only help.  I still have a couple hundred available as well.

I think, this pay period, I will get my blood test done.  I need to get that done.

Oh, not fun, almost vomited.  I have a small bucket nearby.  I also put a wet washcloth in the freezer for a little bit, that will feel so good on my face in a couple of minutes.  I can't say enough about my GE fridge it is great.  The freezer will get that "warshrag" (Ron's term) nice and chilly.

I can't decide if the pain is more "drilling" or "splitting" but it is still awful.  So glad I never had kids I can just envision some poor little thing sobbing "Mommy it hurts!".

So we had the EEG

I gave him his bath last night and the shampoo today.  The tech did not complain about his hair so the shampoo did the job.  He did not like either, though, and complained bitterly while I groomed him.

I believe it is going to storm today, both Ron and I had pain issues - a migraine for me, knee pain for him.  I got him ready in time and off to the hospital.  We arrived about half an hour before they requested, that was fine.  They had a very comfortable arm chair so I helped Ron sit in it vs. his wheelchair.

The tech was very nice.  She marked his head all over then put the leads.  The procedure was pretty uneventful but I am fairly sure he had an "absence" seizure during.  He stopped talking suddenly and began snoring, she leaned forward into her screen, a minute or two later he was back to normal.

After I wanted a snack so we found the cafeteria.  They had groceries for sale in the cafeteria, including toilet paper.  I didn't check the prices.  Lunch for the two of us was almost $20.  Ouch.  Good thing he only wanted a sandwich.

They had "like" 3 chicken entrees but he wanted fried chicken which of course they are not selling in a hospital, it was baked everything.  He did get a chicken salad sandwich he liked.  I got the turkey half sandwich + fruit plate (all together in one little tray) and a piece of cake.  I am not sure what flavor it was, it reminded me of tres leches but it was very good and shouldn't be a migraine trigger.  We both got drinks, they didn't have diet so Ron got a real Coke, I got unsweet tea.

After that we decided to go wait outside the ER.  The driveway at the hospital was disgusting and I don't think you want to hear the details.  It was not sanitary.  And they were old stains.  It was bad enough I left my shoes outside the house and will sterilize before I wear them again.  If they send me a survey I am going to roast them on that.

Our driver got a little lost but it was a straight ride home.  Ron was having a hard time with his knee, my head was killing me, and of course the driver wanted to talk.  I put some pain relieving cream on his knee, which he said helped a little.  He asked me to wrap his knee with a towel.  I did so.  He asked for the heating pad.  I put it on and showed him how to control it.  He thanked me profusely.

So now we wait I assume if they found anything "bad" they will tell us otherwise we just wait until November.  Doc is very competent and I feel good having Ron in his care.  It was handy he is affiliated with the hospital so he can easily get Ron's records.

I just have no appetite and my head is killing me.  I wish it would rain already if that's what it wants to do.

I got a check from my health insurance company.  I will take it, I need to pay the water bill and that is 2 months' worth right there.  The cats are good, Baby Girl was very happy to see Ron again.

I took 3 doses of excedrin total so I hope I can sleep tonight.  That's not counting the caffeine I did which was, for me, a lot.  But I had to be semi functional.  And I got Ron cleaned up, dressed, to the hospital, tested, and home again.  And properly medicated.  I feel good about that.

I sure hope I feel better tomorrow.

Sorry I forgot to post a couple days

Oh, I haven't been posting.  Things have been OK.

Ron did wake me up in the middle of the night.  I helped him, went back to bed, but TODAY I had to get up at 3.

When I need to shift Ron's pill time I do it by increments, so I was able to give him his morning dose at 5 AM (seizure and blood pressure meds) before I left for work.  The delivery was 2 hours late, I wasn't happy but not much I could say.  They did bring about 2/3 of what I ordered so we can make a little money off of that.

The last time I got a soda delivery I also had the repair man come.  He likes to come around 9-10 which is when Ron's pill was due.  He said he would come at 8, but ran late and I was over an hour late giving Ron his meds!  NOT happy about that, I was scared to death he was going to seize all day.  Thank God he did not.

Maybe I am just hyper vigilant but my understanding of seizure meds they need to be given on a very tight schedule.  Anyway it did have a happy ending but NOT doing that again so I changed the dose time.

I will ask the neurologist more about this in November but in the mean time I am going to be really uptight about the dosing.

I forgot to take out the trash can today but it wasn't full.  I just hope we don't have a tropical thing come through before the next pickup, that could get messy.

Anyway I went to work, sat around forever watching people in political (No political attire at work, unless it is left-leaning, seems to be the rule.  Watch me wear a MAGA hat and see how fast they toss us out of the program!) attire gossiping.  The social distancing plan of taking out most of "my" seating doesn't work, people still congregate closely with their masks off, talking loudly, hugging, etc.

It is commendable they are giving each other natural affection but it just shows they hurt my business for nothing.  Another thing: they are always lecturing to wash your hands.  Yet over half the sinks in my primary bathroom are not working.  About half the soap dispensers, as well, are not working either.  How can we wash our hands without running water and soap?  And ALL the maintenance staff and custodians and they just "can't" do it.  Or won't.

Sometimes it is hard to have respect.  And I got shouted at all day because I hadn't stocked yet, had to keep explaining I hadn't gotten the delivery yet.  Happily they did bring most of it.  I stocked most of the order, only a few cases left now.

So I did all that and came home.  Ron left a nice present for me in the commode chair.  [laugh]  I am just happy he handled that on his own without falling or anything.  That's why I set it up next to his bed: safer.  Don't regret that.

My tip on that put a little water in the bottom of the receptacle if you don't use a liner.  Ron touched the liner with his manhood about the second or time I did it, got the crawlies and freaked out, couldn't go.  Begged me to get rid of the liners, so I did even though it means a little more work - not much though.  And he is safe and relaxed so I am happy.

So I got that and the urinals, that is all he needed while I was gone.  Tomorrow we go to the hospital for the EEG.  He has to be fasting for 4 hours before, and he has to take his pill with food at 5 (easier to swallow),so I set it up for the 1 PM slot.

So we will get up, pill time, bath time (he didn't want to do that today) I will also change his bed as he has been sweating in it the last couple days.  Dress him, off to hospital.  Check in (they sent me a QR code which I found odd), present the Medicare card, etc.  Get Ron settled for his test.  Get that done, see if they can induce a seizure (I sort of hope they don't), go home, bed for Ron.

I got paid today (enough for my check and the water bill) so I will do my errands Friday.  It will be a busy rest of the week.

I have been getting headaches every day after my nap which is frustrating, and using more Excedrin than I would like, as a result.  But I always have a lot on my plate.

I have been pretty disciplined about practicing my faith but maybe could stand to start working out again.  Maybe I'm just holding tension and it's causing headaches; it is also miserably hot with high pressure as well which tends to aggravate headaches for me.

I will see if I can work that into my routine in a modest way.
